Through the emphasis given to worship and spirituality, as well as programs and activities in religious education, family ministry, youth and young adult ministry, social outreach, and a concern for social justice, the parish brings all members into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, a love of the Church, and the need to transform our society into a world of greater compassion and justice.
Eva's Kitchen Needs Drivers to Help Deliver one Sunday a month
Volunteer drives are needed to take our meals provided by our volunteer cooks to Paterson. As a driver you will pick up the meals at the church by 10am. Helpers at Eva's Village will help unload the car and you should be home by noon.
We are in need of drivers for the Third Sunday of each month for all of 2017.
Please call Anna Quinn at 973-635-5490 if you are able to help with the driving or cooking.
Eva's Kitchen needs Cooks ~ Here's how you can help.....
Eva's Kitchen, an outreach program to feed the homeless of Paterson, is in need of cooks to prepare a monthly chili dish from a recipe provided. Click here to see the recipe. The meal is prepared at your home with the recipe and pans provided for your use. It is a beautiful and easy way for you yourself, your teenagers and your whole family to help those in need. Please consider volunteering your time.
Here's how it works
Every 2nd weekend of the month, the disposable cooking pans and recipes are placed in the Church Atrium for you to take home. During that week, prepare the chili meal and freeze in the two pans provided, returning the frozen chili meals during that week to the church freezers or bring them on Sunday before 9:30am to be placed on the rolling carts in the hallway outside the Church offices.
